Here is the second submission to hall of legendary naturopaths. Sebastian Kneipp is most commonly known for pioneering the use of hydrotherapy. In the 18th century, Kneipp was extremely famous and revered for his success using natural remedies like pure water, fresh air, exercise, and herbs to treat thousands of people from all over the world. Additionally, he wrote many books to to share his methods and by teach millions of others about these simple ways to restore optimal health. He is also known for his whole wheat bread recipe known as Kneipp bread (Kneipbrød), which is still the most commonly eaten bread in Norway today.
“Nature has provided us generously with everything we need to remain in good health.”

I have recently started a series of paintings cataloging the history of natural healing. I am trying to touch upon all of the doctors who pioneered naturopathic techniques, natural living, and medical philosophy. Starting us off is the father of medicine himself, Hippocrates. I hope everyone enjoys. Check back here as I will be posting more paintings very soon.

The earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

wise words from Dr. Sensenig
Found this jotted down amongst a tower of old papers yesterday. It’s from Dr. Sensenig’s first year Philosophy course. He has has a profound way of making complex ideas so simple. Quite excited to have him again next semester
What we do: the art of being a healer & everything it encompasses. What we actually do with the patient.
How we do it: the science, the tools & knowledge we can use to heal
Why we do it: the philosophy, what guides us, tells us where to begin and what to do- what sets us a part.

Awesome option to order lab tests for those without insurance, etc.
Just wanted to spread the word of this awesome service that is available to the majority of America (just excluding NY I believe). Patient empowerment! Consult a naturopath or do the research to order labs and be able to check up on your own health.

interesting. A video recommended to us by Dr. D’Adamo.
Yes. These are are HUGE problems faced by the medical community but little does he know, he is really just preaching core naturopathic philosophies…
- Prevention & lifestyle changes (foot off the gas rather than slam on the breaks)
- Remove obstacles to cure (fear, bad habits etc)
- DOCERE (educate) & empower the patient to have an active role in their healing process
